Knocknabrone Hill watches from the south while ancient pickmarks still dot a smooth sandstone ledge in Coomlettra. The stone sits low beside a drystone wall, exposing shallow cups and possible pockmarks across its fractured surface. People may have knelt there beside the nearby stream, marking the rock during seasons when the pasture felt alive and the hill stood like a landmark in the distance.

In level area of rough pasture (156m OD), with abundant rock outcrop and earthfast boulders; Knocknabrone Hill is visible to S. Rock art (KE072-026----) is located c. 7m to NE. A smooth and fractured sandstone rock outcrop (dims. 2.04m NNE-SSW; 2.77m ESE-WNW; max. H 0.20-0.40m at S) abutting a short, drystone wall (long-axis N-S) to E. This stone has a generally flat, smooth and fractured decorated surface (dims. 0.38m N-S; 0.60m E-W) which has a very gentle NNE-facing aspect. The motifs are weathered yet traceable and consist of a cluster of pickmarks (diam. 8-10cm; D 2-4mm) and some possible pockmarks (diam. 15mm; D 2-4mm) located across NE area of stone surface.
