An Gabhlán Thoir holds a large boulder marked with numerous cupmarks and about ten cup-and-ring marks, visible now because a gorse fire burned away peat in 2021. Cattle still graze the pasture, unaware that they walk beside old human making. The marks may have guided herds, marked a boundary, or recorded a story no longer spoken. What is certain is that the rock kept its shape while the land around it forgot, then revealed itself again through flame.
