What is recorded here
Robinson Crags is shown as a cliff on the public map of Cumberland. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Robinson Crags is a sea cliff composed primarily of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 to 320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. The crags are notable for their exposure of folded and faulted rock layers, which provide evidence of the Variscan orogeny and are of interest to geologists studying regional tectonic history.
