Robert Montgomery Martin, born circa 1801 in County Dublin, served as Colonial Treasurer of Hong Kong from January 1844 to July 1845. He was a founding member of the Statistical Society of London in 1834, the Colonial Society in 1837, and the East India Association in 1867. Martin died on 6 September 1868 in Sutton, Surrey, England.
