Situated on flat marshy land running alongside bogland. This site was not marked on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps. Trackway of split oak timbers discovered in field recently ploughed S of Ballykilleen fort (OF011-035----). The togher was traceable northwards towards the fort and consisted of split oak timbers on brushwood. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
