What is recorded here
According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 373), in Wallslough, ‘there is an old road called “Boher-na-monnach,” the Friars’ Road. It is part of the highway which, it is said, formerly ran from Jerpoint Abbey, by Annamult and Kilree, to Kilkenny’. The precise location of this road is unknown.
