What is recorded here

The site (L 1.1m; Wth 1.5m; D 0.18m) is orientated ENE-WSW and consists of densely packed light brushwood in the drain face. The site consists of brushwood deposited as four layers, alternating between longitudinal and transverse elements. There is no discernible superstructure or substructure. Some of the pieces are irregularly laid but most are longitudinally laid. Occasional twigs and pegs are also incorporated into the structure. There are five pegs in total, set at angles of 45-90°, which tend to be located at the edges of the site. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin).
