What is recorded here

The site (Wth 1m; D 0.09m) is orientated NW-SE and consists of brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.042m), laid two pieces deep, and three possible pegs on the field surface. The pieces are widely spaced and are longitudinally laid. A single transverse piece and occasional twigs are also incorporated into the structure. The pegs are set at 35-40°. One is situated at the NW end of the site while the other two are situated almost side-by-side at the SE end, although some of these elements may have been disturbed by milling. Woodworking is evidenced by a metal-cut chisel point on one of the pieces. One piece was identified as alder. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum.
