What is recorded here

The site (L 2.12m; Wth 0.45m min.; D 0.41m) consists of light brushwood, three pegs and occasional twigs in opposing drain faces. The brushwood is loosely packed, laid seven pieces deep and is set in an irregular fashion. The pegs are set at angles varying from 45°-60° and appear to be evenly spaced across the structure. A number of metal-cut chisel points were recorded. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin). Date of upload: 23 May 2011
