What is recorded here

The site (L 2.8m; Wth 1.86m) consists of a dense deposit of roundwoods, light brushwood and pegs on the field surface. The elements appear to be irregularly laid but the site has been extensively damaged by milling and is poorly preserved. Woodworking is evidenced by two pegs with chisel points. The site is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Compiled by: Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College Dublin).
