Ring-ditch in Sliguff

Ring-ditch

What is recorded here

Ring-ditch in Sliguff, County Carlow, is one of four close ring-ditches visible as cropmarks in aerial photography. The others sit nearby at CW019-109----, CW019-114---- and CW019-115----, suggesting a small cluster rather than a lone feature. People may have lived, buried or marked boundary there before the land was covered and forgotten.
Aerial photograph (GB96.GF.06) shows cropmark of a ring-ditch; one of four ring-ditches located in close proximity (see also CW019-109----, CW019-114---- and CW019-115----).
