What is recorded here

Ring-ditch in Irishtown is a small circular enclosure with an internal diameter of about eight metres, sitting in the northwest quadrant of a larger rath on level ground. Matthew Mullen-Reynolds first reported it and Noel Meehan also identified it, preserving the shape before human memory faded. The continuous fosse may have marked a boundary, a workshop, a shrine or a childhood game, yet even that much remains unknown.

Situated on a level landscape. The cropmark of a small circular enclosure (int. diam. c. 8m) defined by a continuous fosse is visible only on Apple Maps which utilises a survey conducted by Bluesky International during June 2018. It is in the NW quadrant of rath (ME028-091001-), and was first reported by Matthew Mullen-Reynolds but was also identified by Noel Meehan.
