Rhasidat Adeleke was born in Dublin in 2002 to Yoruba parents from Oyo State, giving the city a new kind of speed before she had finished school. She ran for Presentation College and Tallaght Athletic Club, breaking fifty seconds in the 400 metres and taking silver at the 2024 European Championships. Her name now belongs to the track itself: seven Irish records, a mixed relay gold, and a body that carries two homelands at once.
