Redcastle is a working farm in Angus where a horse engine house still stands beside the main buildings. The engine house dates from the nineteenth century into the twentieth, when steam and muscle shared the same jobs. A farm needs strength in every season, so people built a room large enough for that strength to enter. The walls still give the room its shape.
