Red Castle is a medieval rig and furrow site in Angus, Scotland, where stripped earth still holds the shape of fields long abandoned. The so-called castle may be a memory built on farmland rather than stone, a name given to furrows that outlived the hands which cut them.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Red Castle as Rig and Furrow (medieval) - (post Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
