Semi-detached three-bay three-storey house, built c.1795, having lean-to addition with cat-slide roof to rear (west). Pitched slate roof with rendered eaves course, chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls with rendered quoins to front (east) elevation, rendered walls elsewhere. Diminishing square-headed window openings with stone sills having uPVC casement windows. Recessed round-headed door opening with moulded render surround and archivolt to front elevation, having rendered plinths and reveals. Timber panelled door with brass door furniture, single-pane overlight and recent flagged threshold.

This elegantly proportioned former house retains much of its original form and character together with important features and materials including a moulded render door surround and decorative render quoins. This house is one of a pair located on the west side of Emmet Square, formerly known as Shannon Square being named after the Earls of Shannon, which was laid out between 1785 and 1810 to accommodate the wealthy merchants of the town.
