End-of-terrace double-pile three-bay three-storey house, built c.1795. M-profile slate roof with central valley, having rendered eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered wall with rendered plinth band to front (east) elevation, exposed rubble limestone walls elsewhere. Diminishing square-headed window openings with stone sills and raised render reveals to front elevation, having four-over-four pane timber sliding sash windows to ground and first floors, uPVC casement windows to second floor. Recessed round-headed door opening with moulded render surround and archivolt on rendered plinths, having rendered reveals, replacement glazed timber door with single-pane fanlight and limestone stepped approach with cast-iron boot scrape.

This elegantly proportioned house has retained much of its original form and character. It is one of a long terrace of houses located on the west side of Emmet Square, formerly known as Shannon Square after the Earls of Shannon, which was laid out between 1785 and 1810 to accommodate the wealthy merchants of the town.
