Gateway, extant 1841, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of rusticated limestone ashlar piers on moulded cushion courses on plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornices below capping supporting wrought iron double gates. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Woodstown House.

A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 22901818) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Woodstown House estate.
