Blind Island

Blind Island is a small islet in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is the kind of place that resists memory, appearing only when water retreats or fog thickens. People may have sailed past it and forgotten it immediately, not because they were careless but because the island refused to be seen. What cannot be remembered cannot be lost, which is perhaps why it still exists.
