RATH in West Division

RATH

What is recorded here

Antrim soil still holds the Rath boundary, though no human hand has drawn that circle since the Christian era began. The division may have marked pasture, prayer or warning, but the earth kept the shape long after the people forgot the name. What is certain is that the land remembered the line, and the line still divides the field into inside and outside.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
