NATURAL FEATURE

NATURAL FEATURE, CAVE

What is recorded here

Mortons has watched the coastal path for centuries, its rocks worn smooth by endless tides and human traffic. The cave sits beside the cliff like a dark room waiting for visitors, its entrance marked only by shadow and salt air. People have walked past it since before records began, drawn by the shape of the rock and the sound of the sea inside it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as NATURAL FEATURE - CAVE. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
