What is recorded here
West Ballycarry South layers Bronze Age, Early Medieval and Late Medieval life beneath one soil. A ring ditch marked a boundary or ceremony, a cremation gave up a body to flame, a kiln heated clay or grain, and a later house sheltered ordinary days. People kept returning because the ground already understood use.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Multi-period Site: Bronze Age ring ditch & Late Bronze Age cremation; Early Medieval Kiln; Late Medieval/Early Post-Medieval house.
