One of the weirs called Cottock in Dovlokt in Waterford Harbour was granted to the Earl of Kildare in 1514 by Richard Elward of fflylyn (Faithlegg) (Went 1946, 119-80). It may have been one of the eight in Faithlegg parish in the Civil Survey of 1654-6 (Simington 1942, 164). It remains unlocated. Simington, R. C. (ed.)
