Burial in Waterstown

Burial

What is recorded here

You can still touch the buried man in Waterstown. The build crew broke through a thin ridge of sand and gravel, and his bones appeared a metre below the machine. Everything around them had already been lost, but he remained inside the earth, waiting for someone to remember that living people also forget.
In 1997, human remains were discovered at a depth of c. 1m. during construction work on top of a small sand and gravel ridge. The site of the burial had been almost completely destroyed and the remains were no longer in context. No associated artefacts were recovered.
