What is recorded here

Gateway, c.1890, comprising pair of rusticated limestone ashlar piers with moulded capping, cast-iron double gates having Fleur-de-Lys finials, and wrought iron arch over having lettering. Road fronted with concrete brick cobbled pedestrianised street to front.
This gateway is an attractive feature in the streetscape of Great George's Street. The construction of the piers attests to high quality local stone masonry, while the gates, and particularly the detailed arch over, enhance the design quality of the composition.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
