What is recorded here
On the summit of a flat-topped N-S ridge, rising above the bog and river flood plain, in rolling grassland. There are very good views in all directions. The northern half of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m E-W) is depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map, truncated by a field boundary running E-W through the centre. On the 1900 revision OS 6-inch map the monument is not indicated, suggesting it was levelled between 1839 and 1900. The enclosure is not visible at ground level.
