Excavations in 1977 uncovered a series of trapezoidal plots demarcated by post and wattle boundary fences. Approximately 30 houses or parts of were excavated, all rectangular in plan with aisles and central hearths. Some had out-houses attached. A wide ranging domestic assemblage was associated with these structures (1990, 73).
