What is recorded here

Indicated is a forgotten circular earthwork buried beneath St Mary's Secondary school in County Dublin. It stood on a ridge above the Tolka valley when Glasnevin House occupied the land. Children now run across grass that once ringed a forgotten shape. The earthwork vanished, but the ridge still leans outward as if remembering the weight of its own boundary.

The 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map shows a circular earthwork on the grounds of what was Glasnevin House and now St Mary's Secondary school.
