What is recorded here
Clarke mentions the former existence of a tholsel in 1305, probably of 6 bays in 1311 (2002, 23, F8). The E wall was repaired in 1585, part of cellar reconstructed to strengthen building in 1589 and roof repaired in 1608 (op. cit. ).
