What is recorded here

Baptista Boazio marked a castle in west Sligo on a map drawn in the late 1600s, yet no exact place has emerged from the land. The castle may have stood beside a road, hidden beneath a field or fallen into a river before anyone thought to remember it. What is certain is that it existed large enough to be drawn and important enough to be named.
