What is recorded here

A piece of brushwood (L 0.76m; diam. 0.051m) with a degraded wedge point in the drain face. The piece is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
