Man-made underground passage in Tullycommon

Situated in the SW quadrant of a hut site (CL010-064098-) c. 16m SE from the outermost enclosing wall of Cahercommaun (CL010-064003-). Described by Hencken (1938, 7-8 and Fig. 3) as a short irregular crack in the underlying limestone (D 0.65m; Wth 0.75m) converted into a Man-made underground passage, one capstone of which survived. There were two internal upright slabs. A small collapsed Man-made underground passage (L 2.7m) aligned N-S. The opening to W is covered by a lintel (L 1.35m; Wth 0.68m) over a small chamber (Wth 1.1m; H 0.4m) with upright slabs at E and W and loose stone at the base.
