What is recorded here
Ten metres across and grassed over, the hut stands on a Clare ridge where southern light spills unbroken across karst pasture. Its stone wall still holds a circular shape beneath the grass, while a cairn and cashel wait twenty to seventy metres away and a wedge tomb watches from the northeast. The field system around it has changed hands and purposes through the centuries, but the hut remains the smallest address in the landscape: a room built for one, still facing the wide sky.
In an elevated position with wide views to the S, in semi-karst rough pastureland within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL010-064001-). A subcircular hut site (diam. c. 10m) defined by a grassed-over stone wall and visible on Digital Globe (2011-2013) and on OSi MapGenie orthophotography (2013-2018). A cairn (CL010-064045-) lies c. 25m to the SW and a cashel (CL010-064009-) lies c. 74m to the SW. A wedge tomb (CL010-064013-) lies c.120m to the NE and a rectilinear cashel (CL010-064014-) lies c. 30m further NE.
