Terraced two-bay two-storey with attic house, built c. 1890. Return to west elevation. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, red brick chimneystack with moulded yellow brick string course and stepped corbel, clay pots, dormer window, profiled cast-iron gutter supported on decorative yellow brick corbelled eaves course, circular cast-iron downpipe. Red brick walling to east and west elevations, rendered and brick return; east elevation laid in Flemish bond, painted brick plinth, painted brick string courses to sill level of ground and first floor window openings, ground floor window heads and eaves. Square-headed window openings, chamfered reveals, soffit and granite sills; projecting painted brick course above ground floor windows; uPVC windows. Round-headed door opening, painted brick surround comprising pilasters, arch and keystone, painted timber door with six raised-and-fielded panels, plain-glazed overlight, granite steps. House set back from street, polychromatic tiled path, bounded by granite plinth wall surmounted by cast-iron railings.

This house is part of a terrace of similar structures, located on the residential Castle Road near the busy town centre of Dundalk. Built in a style which is typical of this period, the building exhibits an artistic feel with is elaborate cast-iron railings, as well as a definite element of design in its varied use of brick. This building, along with its neighbours, contributes to the architectural heritage of Dundalk.
