Semi-detached three-bay two-storey over basement house, built c. 1820, as a pair with adjoining house. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and render eaves course. Roughcast rendered walls with slate hangings to south-east elevation. Square-headed openings having six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows and limestone sills. Square-headed opening with Doric-style engaged columns, architrave with metopes and entablature over overlight and half-glazed timber panelled door. Flight of limestone steps having cast-iron railings to entrance. Single-leaf spear-headed cast- and wrought-iron gate. Spear-headed cast- and wrought-iron railings set in limestone plinths to site.

This house, built as one of a pair of identical houses, is an attractive, well maintained composition of balanced proportions. The house retains its original form, together with important early salient features and materials, such as the slate hanging, sash windows and fine entrance. The house and its neighbour forms an important component of the streetscape.
