Octagonal ashlar limestone spire, erected c.1783, with wrought-iron finial. Added to a sixteenth-century belfry.
This spire, which is set on a sixteenth-century belfry, was executed in fine ashlar masonry. This belfry occupies a raised site in the town and is a notable and dominant structure in the streetscape. The setting of the belfry is enhanced by the round tower and church to the site, which are tall and imposing structures in the town.
