Indicated is a crannog in County Mayo, Ireland, where an artificial island still stands in shallow water. It may have been a home, a hideaway or a boundary marker, shaped by hands that understood lake life and seasonal change. The water keeps the place quiet, but the structure suggests people wanted privacy, control or continuity there.
