Cross-slab in Toureen is a cross-slab in Toureen, County Tipperary, Ireland. Uncovered during the 1987 excavation at Toureen Peacaun monastery, the small irregular rectangular slab measures about 0.21 metres high and 0.34 metres wide. Its face carries an incised outline Latin cross that is open at the bottom, with a horizontal line of text above it and further letters below. The left edge is damaged and the surface is badly abraded, causing portions of the cross and letters to delaminate.

Formerly situated at Toureen Peacaun monastery (TS075-023----) and currently located in National Monuments storage, Dublin. It is described by Okasha and Forsyth (2001, 285-6) as a small slab (H c. 0.21m; Wth c. 0.34m; T c. 0.05m) and is 'a slab of irregular rectangular shape, possibly complete, although damaged at the left edge. The back is plain. Incised on the face is an outline Latin cross, open at the bottom. Above this is a horizontal line of text with further letters below. The face is badly abraded, especially on the left side, and portions of the cross and letters have delaminated'. It is listed as Toureen Peacaun 38 (ibid.). Date likely to the early medieval period, possibly 7th to 9th century AD, based on its cross-slabe form and association with a monastic site. It may have served as a memorial or liturgical object, reflecting Christian symbolism in a monastic context.
