Children's graves in a Galway ringfort. Small set stones and larger slabs still mark the ground where infants and young children were laid to rest. The place is quiet, but it is not empty. It holds the short lives of a local community and the care they took to bury their youngest dead within a defended home.

Within a ringfort (GA030-120----). An irregularly shaped area (NW-SE c. 45m, NE-SW c. 20m) defined from NW through N to E by the inner bank of the ringfort, and elsewhere by the td. boundary wall. Within the interior, there is a dense concentration of small set stones aligned N-S; it seems likely that these were robbed from th enclosing cashel-like wall.
