What is recorded here

Monument is a small, weathered stone stack beside an old Galway road, the kind of marker people built when a journey needed remembering. It stands barely taller than a person's knee, yet it still points upward on the sloping ground. Perhaps a trader dropped stones there after dark, or a family marked a loss no book recorded. The road changed, the stones scattered, but the act of marking remains visible in their shape.

On SW-facing slope immediately N of the line of an old roadway. Poorly preserved, rectangular cairn (E-W 1.6m, H 0.9m) which appears to have had a stepped profile.
