Castle Well in County Louth, Ireland, is a holy water source possibly dedicated to St. Denis. It is the kind of place where people once drank, prayed or washed away fever, and the name still carries that old trust. Even if the castle is gone, the well remains: a small sharp edge of memory in the ground.

Linked to St. Denis, the well may have been a site of pilgrimage and healing, reflecting the widespread veneration of this early Christian martyr in Ireland. Little specific folklore about the well survives, but its dedication suggests it was used for ritual washing or as a place of prayer.
