Fairy fort in Templenoe, County Cork: a 24-metre earthen ring on a natural rise, its bank still standing where clearance stones were dumped rather than built. The flat interior and shallow rectangular dip suggest people lived, worked and perhaps played inside the circle before the fields closed around it.

On top of a natural rise in undulating tillage. Circular area (24m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.8m) S->NE; scarp elsewhere. Field fence clearance material dumped on outer face of bank. Interior raised and level; slight depression, rectangular in plan, in NE quadrant.
