Crannog in Teeboy, County Cavan, is a water-based dwelling or platform, likely built of timber and stone, where people lived above the lake or marsh. The exact age and layout remain unknown because no public record has appeared, but the name and kind point to a human-made island in wet ground. Perhaps it was a seasonal home, a refuge, or a small farm hidden beneath reeds and shadow.
