Structure

Six irregularly laid and fragmented pieces of mixed brushwood and two roundwoods (L 2.98m; Wth 0.82m; D 0.09m) on the field surface. These elements are set 0.04-0.43m apart and at right angles. One wedge point, cut with a metal tool, is evident. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with fibrous roots. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
