Removed from Jordans Crew, County Down, the standing stone still belongs to the PREHISTORIC world. It is not certain whether it marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning. The land may have kept its shape long after the stone disappeared, carrying the same quiet purpose into soil, memory and myth.
