Culzean Castle, located in Ayrshire, Scotland, was built by the Kennedy family in the 18th and 19th centuries, with significant renovations by the architect Robert Adam and later by Alexander Thomson. It is important as a notable example of Scottish neoclassical architecture and as the historic seat of the Earls of Cassilis.
