What is recorded here
Culzean Castle Policies, Sunnyside occupies South Ayrshire as a building and curling pond, yet no human date or named event remains attached to either name. The policies may have swung around the castle like a green sleeve, while the pond waited for stones and winter breath. Both names still point to a place where water, grass and stone shared one address before memory withdrew.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Culzean Castle Policies, Sunnyside as Building (period Unassigned), Curling Pond (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
