What is recorded here

Brother Walfrid was a Sligo-born Marist teaching brother who founded Celtic in 1887 to raise money for poor Catholic children in Glasgow, then continued that same charitable work in London's East End before dying in Dumfries in 1915. He is remembered not as a distant club legend but as a practical man who used football, schools and kindness to feed hungry children. A bronze statue now stands outside Celtic Park, giving his name a visible shape in the city he helped sustain.
Brother Walfrid is recorded as a memorial in County Sligo. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
