Tobercolman is a holy well in County Mayo, Ireland, where ritual life may have turned on water, devotion and memory. The name and classification leave little doubt that people once treated the place as more than a drinking source. Whether they prayed for health, marked a season or simply watched the water move in a small basin, the well still asks to be seen as a living boundary between the ordinary and the sacred.
