What is recorded here

RATH in Skeagh, County Down, is a ruined earthwork from before Christ. It is not a castle hall or a modern house, but a marked human shape in the ground. The chamber is gone, the roof is gone, and the people who built it are gone. What remains is a boundary between certainty and invention.
